The Longhorn was the Camp Wolters' newspaper, which from the first edition published on July 24th, 1941 until the last edition which was published on December 28th, 1945, faithfully reported on Camp activities. More than just what was happening at Camp Wolters, it reported on Army-wide news, as well as the progress of the war. The newspaper was published with the following frequency during the war:

July 24th, 1941 - 8 pages - bi-weekly

July 2, 1943 - 8 pages - weekly

September 28th, 1945 - 4 pages - Weekly
